Aka Green TX Sotol this plant grows all over the TX Hill Country and SW states. Once established these plants are hardy down to-15°F (Zone 5a). They have teeth along edge of leaves that will scratch if came into contact, but they are much more forgiving than spines from Agave or cactus. Mature plants bloom in summer and will grow to about 5FTx5FT.
