One of the only Parryi family members that is not winter hardy. Mature specimens shaped like an Artichoke hence the nickname Artichoke Agave. Mature plants may be able to survive in the ground in North Texas only if carefully covered during hard freezes. Otherwise, best to be grown in a pot. Pups quickly and grows moderately quickly.
