Havard's Agave is a slow-growing Agave from West Texas in the Big Bend area. It grows about 2.5FT tall x 3FT wide at maturity. It is one of the most cold-hardy Agaves in the world around -15 degrees (5a) and is known to have survived -20 degree weather in Colorado without leaf damage. It is similar to an Agave Neomexicana but one obvious difference is the Havardiana's wide leaves and different color. These Agaves grow well in North Texas and need well-draining soil.
